My Ministry:
As the Operations Service Manager at ERRC, I work with those applying to be teachers with our partnering Universities in China. My work is mainly in correspondence with the applicants and the University, working as the “middle man” or “agent” per se. I really enjoy my efforts in sending these christian teachers to China and seeing a quantifiable result in my ministry efforts.
What brought me here?
I accepted Christ at a very young age. Since then, it has been like a ladder with small steps, slow but steady. However, there have been times where it felt like God clicked the fast-forward button and certain periods of my life I saw exponential growth. One of these times was while I was in Thailand for a two month mission trip following my high school graduation. I came home and told my parents that I no longer wanted to attend college but I would like to go back and become a missionary in Thailand. Silly ol’ me, I knew nothing of what God had in store. It was critical that I would attend college, but not just any college, a private christian university.
I attended community college first and transferred to BIOLA University in my third year. There I experienced so many blessings beyond mere academics. I gained a fellowship of peer female believers who I still make special trips to SoCal to visit. They never fail in encouraging me and telling me as-it-is. I also participated in a short term mission trip to Hokkaido, Japan as a collaboration between OMF international and BIOLA. Serving as team leader in this collaboration is what paved the way to my joining OMF as a college mobilizer from 2012-2015. After giving birth to my (first and only) daughter in the Spring of 2015, I resigned to spend time at home enjoying the beauty of motherhood. It was only after much prayer and discussion between my husband and I that I decided to consider ERRC, a local organization which sends christian teachers to leading Universities in China. After a one-month trial period, we decided to move forward in raising support to become a full time ministry worker with ERRC.
My husband and I are constantly in prayer about where God is calling us to serve Him. Our hearts are for equipping and sending. Currently, my husband is in Dental Hygiene school and is estimated to be graduating Spring 2020.
